For some reason the groups I want to submit my journal into will not show up.Β

This happens to me too and I don't know what to do. Have you figured it out? ):

So I tried again, but without any success. Its odd though, since some of the groups that show up when I look through there are closed. You'd think dA clear those out, but I digress. I don't know if I should contact dA about this problem.

Ah, I just figured it out. It it has to be written out perfectly. I also thought it would list every group I was in automatically. Typing in each group name one at a time is so inefficient. What a horribly slow system...

Haha you're absolutely right! Even the whole "friend/watch" system is disgustingly out of date. It's so strange how seriously they take themselves as a website (e.i. launching their new logo etc.) yet refuse to update basic features. It's so backwards.

Oops late reply, but yes its so true. I feel like this website is still exactly the same it was 4 yrs ago. This is probably why there aren't many people still using it now, and are using alternatives (twitter, tumblr, instagram) I mean most of the options are still pretty out of state from what I know, and I don't understand why they are making hashtags/tags visible now. (i preferred it when it was a private system of tags, not gelbooru like) Theres a ton of junk leftover that was popular 4 years back, and then theres the activity function on your page... Thats basically useless as they kept the journal system up to check. (I actually like journals tho tbh) I feel like this website is going downhill, just by making cosmetic changes instead of actual good changes. I dislike most of the new layout changes (which is why i don't use dA anymore) because its more of a nuisance rather than being "helpful." Also, most of the helpful options are for premiums which is stupid because I'm not giving any money towards a website that barely functions.Β
Kinda sorry for the rant, had to get it out of system anyhow.Β

It's so true. It's ironic because they try so hard to present this 'professional' image of themselves, but their inner workings of this site are so dated.Β It's like they keep on painting and decorating a robot, updating it's armour to make it look more shiny and more edgy, while never bothering to update the CPU. The robot is total shit, but at least it looks "nice". They care so much about how they want to appear to others instead of making the website pleasant for their user base.Β
Either way, I totally agree with you. It's a shame.

Do you know how to put journals into gallery folders?

what about submitting journal entry to other groups (that you aren't a contributor of). What do you search up in your gallery to submit your journals in like other art groups?

I can only come up with 2 reasons for this:
1. That group doesn't allow journal submissions, or
2. You typed the group name in wrong, it has to be exact or it won't show up

It was a group for notihng but jorunal submissions 
And iΒ΄m only in 3 groups to the name thing isnΒ΄t possible.

WHat if you get a message that says "You can't submit a deviation that belongs to the group"? I keep getting that. ):
