This was an older how-to tutorial so I decided to update it with a fresh look and fresh screen captures! So it seems like deviants get a little confused on how to submit artwork to AnthroCommunity or groups in general. Here is a tutorial to help!

My members can't submit to my group. Why?
Make sure you have submissions ENABLED. To check this do the following:
1. Group
2. Admin area
3. Manage members
4. MembersΒ on gallery, members: Make sure you have the drop down selected to either automatically approved or are subject to vote.. ( choose how many votes and how many entries someone can submit in a given time ( day / month / year ).
Do I need to be a group member to submit to a group?
Depends! Look to see if your group accepts open submissions or if you have to be a member to submit to their group. If you try to submit to their group and aren't able and you are not JOINED in that group, then that indicates they don't have open submissions.
How do I change the group submission limitations?
Go to group -> admin area -> manage members -> members -> on gallery, members: and manage your limitations there in the drop down menu for each folder

It seems like you can copy submissions to multiple folders in the same group's galleries.

Do you know how to take down art? I added my adopt to a group but I need to take it down because the adopt is closed now.

Hello!
Yup! Go to the deviation and on the right hand side of the deviation page, under GROUPS, highlight over the group and there should be a pencil icon that appears. Click on that and the option "remove deviation from this group" should appear. Click that and it should remove it for you.

why cant i submit it from the sidebar unless I own the group?

uhhh you know when you have a piece, it says 'add to a group'
i can only submit to groups i own or co-own. i feel like it'd be more convenient to be able to add it to groups im a member in from the piece itself.

Have you tried clicking:
1. Click To Add To Group
2. Under " Select a Group to Submit to:" choose [] Type group name
3. Type the group name and see if it comes up?

I have, but having tp go look through group names for spelling, at that point you might as well just cluck through to the group to submit it, yknow?

I unfortunately don't see that on my end :/ I'm able to go to "recent groups" and submit my artwork to a group that has open submissions. I can also submit my art to their favorites. What group are you trying to submit to? Maybe I can test it on my end

Hi! If i am a member of a group and when i'm about to submit appears this: "Sorry, you do not have permission to submit artwork to this group." what does it mean?

They might not allow members to submit to that particular folder

I would look and see if there is anything special for the group as far as getting artwork into it

Ok so, I made an oopsie and I may have clicked "hide"/ex'ed out the Welcome page where you click Contribute Art. Is there any way I can bring it back and or have another way to submit art, refreshing doesn't bring it back as I clicked "x" after clicking hide.

If you have the privileges, navigate to your groups front page and click on EDIT PAGE. From there you should be able to reinstall the welcome widget to your page

How as the owner of a group do I vote for art to be approved into the groups gallery? I get the notification that the art is waiting for the vote from another members submission, but even though I have the 'can vote on submissions' box checked, it won't let me? any clues?

When you try to hit accept / deny what happens with the button? Does it not become clickable? The owner / founder of a group should have all the priv's set but maybe go into the admin setting and look under group submissions and double check to make sure that you can allow submissions. However that setting wouldn't change unless it was manually changed for some reason.

I am the owner of the group and it doesn't show accept deny at all, only 'withdraw'. I looked and have even made it so all deviations are auto approved and still am having this issue so I suppose its something Ill have to see da staff about.Β
