This was an older how-to tutorial so I decided to update it with a fresh look and fresh screen captures! So it seems like deviants get a little confused on how to submit artwork to AnthroCommunity or groups in general. Here is a tutorial to help!

My members can't submit to my group. Why?
Make sure you have submissions ENABLED. To check this do the following:
1. Group
2. Admin area
3. Manage members
4. MembersΒ on gallery, members: Make sure you have the drop down selected to either automatically approved or are subject to vote.. ( choose how many votes and how many entries someone can submit in a given time ( day / month / year ).
Do I need to be a group member to submit to a group?
Depends! Look to see if your group accepts open submissions or if you have to be a member to submit to their group. If you try to submit to their group and aren't able and you are not JOINED in that group, then that indicates they don't have open submissions.
How do I change the group submission limitations?
Go to group -> admin area -> manage members -> members -> on gallery, members: and manage your limitations there in the drop down menu for each folder

Anyone can submit to a group unless you change the privileges not allow submissions or change how many someone can submit or to what group.

Yeah but what I want to know is if I can submit someone elseβs post, Iβve received requests with a check box for wether I would like to submit it or not but it doesnβt say who is requesting it a member or an admin

So you want to submit someone elses artwork to a group? If so you can only suggest it to favorites. You can't submit someone elses work to a group.

Hi! I just created a group, but instead of a "contribute art" button there is a "submit art" button and all that does is makes me submit art to my own account. Do you know how to fix this?

Is the "+ Add to a group" button broken? I am only able to submit art by going to each group manually. I feel like that would be more convenient.

I can't use the +add to groups feature on my art. it only shows the groups that I admin in recent groups. it does not list all the groups that I am a member.

If there are galleries that are restricted then you can offer to suggest a piece of work as a favorite instead. Those are usually accepted vs. in a gallery. Also another way to showcase art!Β

I made a group, and clicked "submit art"
I did, and all it did was add art to my account and I kept clicking "submit art" to add it to my group, and it keeps bringing me to the same place. Its not adding the art to my group :c help please!

Herm... not sure. I haven't encountered this problem before. Maybe try a different browser? I know DA was just having issues last night but doubtful it was in relation to this issue.

How many deviations can a group folder have since folders get filled up a lot in real active groups?

To my knowledge there isnβt a limitation to how many deviations a gallery can have

Weird, because whenever I try to submit into say an anime group gallery, it always says it's reached it's limit of submissions. Plus, there's times where people have to make more folders because the original folders get full, supposedly.

So folders can have limitations set , but there shouldn't be a limit as far as how many deviations can be submitted into a folder if that option is NOT set

Great explanation! I had a question: I am currently co-founder of a group and I want to include some of my favourite artworks to the group. Is there an option in which the original artist gets the opportunity to accept their art being included or not automatically?Β

As far as your question: When you submit artwork to a group despite being the founder / co-founder / member etc. it will go through the same process as all the other submissions

There is the possibility of list the groups by alphabetical order and/or limit the list to 3 (like for "Featured in Collections") in the "Featured in Groups" section of the pic submitted?

I'm trying to fill out my application and the picture I'm using is traditional art that I have to use a scanner to put into a computer. I know I will have to cut the borders around the character, but I've never done any image editing before and I don't know what I'm doing. I need to combine the character art, the application background and some text to fill out the basic character information and I've don't know how to do that outside of something like power point, which I don't think is the right place to go.Β
