Ironically, it took one mass extinction to bring dinosaurs (and mammals) into existence, and another to allow the dinosaurs to take over from crocs.

Man i have an extremly long list of which animals i wish wouldve survived the K/P boundry, and as a matter of fact giving a little more thought to it some of them shud've survived! Im pretty shur at least some troodontids and other tiny generalist maniraptorians beside birds (the only true dinosaur surviver of the creataceous) because seeing equal sized mammals of the time and other unexpected genera that survived like how the notosuchians (they are like land crocs) survived in South America and few other surprizing groups, so why didnt atleast a few small teresstrial dinosaurs like at least some alvarezsaurs or maybe some small ornithopods, but awwww it sucks that they failed at the end I can obiously understand why the others went extinct, cuz they were collosial, but still why!

Birds believe otherwise.
Archosaurs still rule.

Actually there were survivors after the impact. Some discoveries of surviving dinosaurs were found, but they didnt last long because of lack of food(Herbivores had to fight for what they could find, while Carnivores still hunted them)

This has always been one of my favorite scenarios of the dinosaur story.

It's a very bittersweet and beautiful drawing.

It is a bit sad they had to die but on the other side I am glad their extinction enabled mammals to take over . And maybe there will be pics with bones of humans instead of dinosaurs one day (when we disappeared from earth)^^.
This pic has an oppressive atmosphere - in my opinion. Well done .

Beautiful, but sad. I like the detail of the sun shining through a coating of ice on the trees.

They are still here, and with more species than mammals.

But when I see pics of sauropods or hadrosaurs I have nostalgia feelings...
