Ayla is by far my favorite character. "Ayla no lose! Only when Ayla dead, give up!" She's so... Ayla-y. Very straightforward, very violent... and yet, with the intelligence of a pineapple. But that's okay! She's great anyway. I always name her "Leela" no matter what I name everyone else*, because of Leela from Doctor Who , who's straightforward and violent and... actually quite bright, even though she's uneducated. They both have long, savage hair and wear wilderness/wild/untamed clothing/skins/boots -- I think of them as so similar that I have to try hard to not call her Leela when refering to her to my brother or other people. ^^

* I like to name my characters in "themes" like DBZ-themed (Lucca=Bulma, Chrono=Gokuu) or whatever.

The drawing went smooth, nothing to report, really. (Although, I did start another, more detailed pic of Ayla about a month ago, so I kind of already practiced her once.) I used three sets of fill layers to color her. Unlike the others, I didn't have an idea for the background; for all the magic-users, I was going to have a background associated with their unique magic type, and chips and computer stuff for Robo (who can't use magic). For Ayla... I just messed around with Render Clouds and Overly and Crystalize and stuff.... the effect is ~ehh~, but whatever.

favored item combos: various Fist's, Vigil Hat, PrismDress, FrenzyBand
other notes: Ayla is superb at front-rowing and non-magical Techs. FrenzyBand and her high speed make a really awesome asset to your party. For my NewGame+ games, where you don't have to worry too much about taking down your opponents, I like to Charm for items, epecially Tabs and other unique stuff..... (did you know that Nu's give you an item called a Mop?? Chrono can wield it for a weapon for a whopping 1 damage.) I use her so much, that my other characters become undertrained -- even Chrono! -- and I have to even everyone else's exp up especially to catch up with her!!
