Description
This shot against the sky shows neater the general look of the European "garden spider" (Araneus diadematus), which hue varies greatly (brownish, greyish, yellowish...) even from one area to another within a few miles only. I guess that it´s a matter of humidity, sunlight and so on.
As for the file title, it´s a reminder that at times colorful patterns in nature are not to attract anyone (as some males of the animal kingdom during the mating season), but rather the contrary: to keep foes and predators as far as possible. Such is the case with this spider (and so many others), those tiny and colorful small tropical frogs, fishes in oceans... This eye-catching pattern warns birds (one of so many predators that spiders have) that it´s better to leave her in peace.
As for humans, the bite of this spiders might hurt like the sting of a wasp or a bee, but unless you are too sensible to chemical substances, your life is not threatened. The area around the bite might become more or less irritated and swollen, and it may hurt more or less, all depending on your immunological system.

Haha. I like these spiders. Like kid I playing with them a lot. I let them walking on me and even on the head and face. This was funny. I was never bitten by them.

Oooh. To me that´s like playing with fire, almost literally There are other spiders I woudn´t mind playing with, but this one is probably a bit too much. Just watching them as they are and move makes me guess that it must be more of an itchy than sweet feeling having one of these walking on your skin.
There was another large spider I used to "play" with when I was a child: the Segestria florentina. But always with some twig between her and me

If I remember good, that when they walking on hand, leg, finger, then this was fine. When they walking on the nose, then this was itchy like hell.

MMMH....
On the one hand, I have a nice little spider ... but I'm phobic.
On the other, I have a perverse leopard.
This choice is difficult.

Mmmh..... I prefer to give a hug to Bui.
