Remove a monster that your opponent wanted to target, banish from the GY when you can't revive a monster and use it as a Material for an Xyz or Synchro Summon or to Tribute for something like Advance Draw, banish from the GY to get out of a direct attack, or use it to trigger any of the numerous monsters with effects that can activate if banished like Dotscaper, Giant Rex, or Shiranuis.ย
