Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by a card effect. While another Insect monster is on the field, Insect monsters you control cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects, also your opponent cannot target them with card effects. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: You can Tribute 1 monster; this card can attack an opponent's monster again in a row. Once per turn, during the End Phase: You can Special Summon 1 "Insect Monster Token" (Insect/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 100/DEF 100).

That's what the Dinosaur Structure Deck was for. That and the dinosaur support in Battles of Legend: Light's Revenge.
Edit: Unless of course you mean the non-Dinosaur stuff, like Serpent Night Dragon and Tyrant Dragon that were his ace monsters.

Interesting that they change the effect where the original needed a tribute to attack, and they removed the ATK gain. But this is still better than the original. I wonder if Panther Warrior might get that treatment as well.

That is true. Similar to how Ultimately Perfect Great Moth has more attack than Great Moth did.
I mean, Panther Warrior was one of Joey's famous monsters, alongside Red-Eyes, Gearfeid, Time Wizard, and Landstars.

While he had that card, there wasn't any support/archetype (aside from Amplifier) until season 4 of GX. Plus he barely used it much after he got it from Roba.

He used it a lot more then Insect Queen and the Legendary Fisherman.
