I've been toying with the idea of making a Sonic the Hedgehog comic with XNALara for a while now. Originally I was going to do a remake of sorts of a sprite comic I made many years ago. Ultimately, there just isn't a good selection of models available for the scenes I'd need to create to do that, so I finally decided to make a comic based on something that did have models available. Of course, ambition always gets the better of me and I wanted to tell more of the story, and that required models that weren't available at the time. However, thanks to the teachings of Roxas Kennedy (and their assistance when I ran into a wall with things beyond my skill level) I was able to extract and port a whole bunch of models from GMod and Sonic Generations that I needed for this project. This comic wouldn't exist without his help.

Part one in this series is a retelling of the final zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the Death Egg Zone, in which Sonic faces off against Silver Sonic and the Death Egg Robot. A model of Silver Sonic wasn't available, and the only one I could find anywhere isn't up to the standards of the Sonic Generations models, so artistic liberties were taken and I rextextured Metal Sonic to look more like Silver Sonic from Sonic 2.

I've been slaving away on renders and porting models for this project for the last few weeks because comics take a surprisingly long time to make, so please do enjoy this little series.
