Description My entry for the Transformation Challenge.

It was done in Photoshop CS4. I tried out a few new things like adding texture this time. It was a bit out of my comfort zone, but I'm happy with the results.
My inspiration for this came from trying to think of what to do for this contest. I thought about how my creative energy seems to ebb and flow, like I was witnessing the life-cycle of my own creative muse. It would start out barren and sad and over time, became colorful and alive. Eventually, it would all come out in my work and the muse would dry up once more. If I had two more panels, I might have drawn the complete cycle back to the beginning.
This took me around 10 hours to complete.

I think it's really awesome how you express your muse in such a way. It's charming, endearing, and I find it very relative to many artists, including myself. Because sometimes you think you lose your muse, but it's going through the motions so it can start again. In your case, it seems to fly. Really, very cool.

Thank you! I know a lot of artists relate to that. A phoenix would also be a great representation of the Muse, but I like my little creature. Glad to know others do to!

Hey, a phoenix isn't the only representation of a cycle. That's another reason why I can like this so much.
