I lived in a tipi on a mountainside for a few years. Never for a whole winter, though. Your photo looks so much like the one I lived in. There were always little animals visiting me for food, or just for company.

oh really? i like to discover such similar things in siberian/scandinavian/north american cultures. don't hesitate to write me if you have any questions concerning to, that might be quite interesting! in our places such constructions are called "chum" by the way. hard to believe these "houses" were used thousand years ago and still "alive"
