Yeah we use to go yearly when I was younger, I guess when its on your door step it's less interesting lol. Plus I prefer open parks like Knowsley Safari Park, then confined zoos. Thats just me though

Must admit that I like Knowsley too...the only thing that gets me down about that place though is when you end up in a queue of traffic near the lion enclosure. I've had some good shots from there, but shooting out of a car window isn't ideal

I haven't been to Knowsley in a while. I was thinking more of the animals then the photography aspect, in which the parks are closer (well as they can be) to there natural environment then the zoos. But no shooting from the car window isn't that great

Its definately worth the trip...I'd wait until summer though, as they are getting another tiger and a lioness in soon
