Three mates taken by surprise at a rockpool at La Corbière on the island of Jersey in the Channel Islands. You wouldn't want to meet this lot - Mark Rands (top left), Allan Maybury (bottom left) and Ian Foster (right) - down a dark alley!

I was the only one of the crowd who never had a motorbike - just never appealed to me - so I had to ride pillion for this trip to Jersey. Only in touch with Ian these days, and even then just Christmas cards and the occasional e-mail. Haven't seen or heard of the other two for over 20 years.
