how do you do such neat outlines? can you do them straight with your hands? or do you use path tools?

I did it with hand, but using wacom tablet, I just make sure the brush is round and sharpen 100% opacity and no airbrush effect. But the rest is purely hand drawing.

we need to bring a picture to class, the subject ist "objectivity" and why we believe what we see, why we believe to see something that is picturing the reality.
we will discuss this subject with the pictures each person will bring.
thought your pretty shrimps are a good example for that, because they seem to be unreal cause of their colours and shapes, but still we believe that the drawing equates to the reality.

yep, I have no problem if you use it, and hope it will be useful for your class, Il try to send later some quick tutorial to let u know how i draw lines like that. it´s not so difficult

Oye tu trabajo está de lujo! te comento que mi madre se dedica a la ecología marina pero al otro extremo del SISAL (en Ensenada, Baja California) y estoy seguro que estaría interesada en tu trabajo al grado de -por qué no- comisionarte algunos diseños similares. Si no tienes inconveniente le voy a mostrar estos diseños para ver qué opina.
