I wish Xenogears looked this good! Much as I love the original game, I felt like the style it was going for with the combination of 2D and 3D was done alot better when Capcom did it with Breath Of Fire 3 and 4, but nothing beats the pure 2D pixel art in my book.

An RPG that was released on the original Playstation.
The guy who spearheaded it later left Squaresoft and made Xenosaga and Xenoblade basically as spiritual successors; no official connection between the story/characters/setting, but with some very similar themes and homages to Xenogears. (In case you heard of those games.)
Honestly there were a lot of faults with the original game, but most people who played it loved it, myself included.
