Hey guys,More practice with painting. It's really hard to break away from your medium/style of comfort. I like to challenge myself and try new things. I'm actually pleased with how this turned out. Thank you for your feedback. I wish I was better at creating custom brushes. My work always seems to come out a little too airbrushed.

have you tried scanning in textures taht may work, i find it can go along way, you can use tools in photoshop like variations to give the textures the right color, then overlay them over the color and crop the shape to fit. you can mess with the opacity to correct the value as well

I'll have to try that. I know some artists have a stockpile of textures they keep in their texture library.

ha, you should just create your own. its more fun that way. theres tons of ways to do it. experiment with house hold cleaners. they do cool things to paint and ink. put some cooking oil on a piece of water color paper and splash a bunch of ink on top. if you let it dry and tilt the paper, the oil collects at the bottom of the page and drips off, leave it like that for like a day and it will dry out. you will get such amazing textures. such as: [link]
theres like a million things you could do, everything effects ink and acrylics differently. chemicals can do some crazy things.

nicely done, i love the colours your used. they really compliment each other
although...the only thing i would say is that maybe position the frog elsewhere or put it on a different angle.

This is some really super work! It's rather different from a lot of your gallery. I, personally, would like it more if it were a bit sharper - less fuzzy and blurry. But otherwise very good!

This deviation really caught my attention: the bright colors are so beautiful
Although we can tell it's a painting, the frog looks alive in a way cause this painting is just... full of life
