Azure and Leonardo entering the Retriever Hunting Trial. With Autumn at its peak and Winter not too far in the future, we decided to get the dogs their titles before we prepared to breed them. Of course most of the winter was going to be spent trying to earn winnings through shows, but for now, it was all about the sports. Wearing a jacket I brought the dogs out with me. Our feet brushed the grass as we walked and we tried to avoid stepping on too many crunchy leaves, although my inner child wanted me to. When we arrived at our destination, I got myself and the dogs ready. When the shots went off and the cue given, the dogs went into the water, but only the dog that was called. The other stood at the end of the enbankment, waiting their turn without a sound. We did this for some time, don't even know how long or how many birds we caught, but at the end, the dogs have caught a decent amount. Once it was over, I called the dogs back and we walked towards our car, their tails and my spirit high.
