I use Gimp. I find that the airbrush tool works wonders!

As for THESE clouds, I made with the same tool, but I opened MSpaint and accidentily used the paint bucket on the sky background and they came out like this:

I have to doodle em by hand. I hate drawing storms lol but I love the way they look when lighting flashes within em. When I'm on paint(the only art app I have ) I make carpet colours lol

It's a lot of fun to me. Not that traditional isn't. Really, almost all of my work is traditional, I just color digitally because its fast and people seem to like it much more.
But I really look up to solid traditional artists. They are amazing. Like my daddy, for instance. He CAN draw on paint and make something amazing, but I don't think he enjoys it that much.

These are fantastic to me, however he is a PAINTER. Or, used to be. A huge inspiration to me. 
This is why I often encourage others to never stop drawing! If you WANT to become a good artist, don't quit.
