2 years(almost 3) later and it's on the switch now!

Yeah, they ported these games so quickly! It's understandable seeing how the Wii U performed though.

Thank you! If you have the possibility to play in any of these, it will also come to 3DS and Switch.

Same here! I'd love to see a sequel!

Unfortunately I don't have a switch, which is what the sequel would be on. It's still be awesome though. These two were great lead characters

I don't either. The game looks like it's a port though; I don't think I'd get it again.
I agree! I'm more happy that Toadette got a big role! I still remember that time she got confirmed. Couldn't believe it!

I loved the original Captain Toad stages in Mario3D World...
...so I was really excited when I heard they were doing a whole game based on those puzzling stages
I was really glad that it didn't disappoint (It completely baffles me in many places though...as any good puzzle game should! ^^)
LOVE this fan-art by the way ^^ It's just incredibly cute (especially Toadette :3) and the scenery is awesome too
Fantastic job

I haven't played Super Mario 3D World at that time so, when I saw the game at the E3,Β the concept alone already got my attention. Not only that, it had Toadette on a main role!
It surprised me too. I have wondered how much it could achieve without getting stale but, there was a lot of variety.
And thank you very much! I wanted to do something big regarding this game so I tried my best.

3D World is still my absolute fave WiiU game too...and it has been since I had my WiiU ^^
Yeah, some of those puzzles really did provide a heck of a challenge
Oh...and you're very welcome!

It's one of my favorites too! It's probably my favorite 3D Mario game even. Having grown up with the classic games, '3D World' mixing both 2D and 3D worlds made me really love it!

blueyoshiegg In reply to AlcyoneAX [2016-07-21 01:32:58 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, it's almost certainly my fave 3D Mario game too (so-o-o-o much content and replay value!)
My ABSOLUTE fave Mario game...is Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
I too grew up with the classic Mario games aswell (90's kid!) ^^ Massive part of my childhood
And it's amazing that those games are still as enjoyable as they were 25+ years ago!
Not many games can boast that sort of accolade

That's great! I consider Super Mario Bros. 3 my favorite 2D Mario game too! There is this simplicity in their graphics that I find charming, varied levels and their themes, and the music, which I really love!
I agree to that! I guess part of it it's because of my childhood, but these games have some sort of quality that it's hard to see in many of today's games.

Oh man, I'm completely in agreement with you there :3
To me, it's as close to perfection as a Mario game can be...everything about it is just brilliant.
The simple yet colourful graphics, the level design and yep...that music too!
(I've always got one of the tunes ringing about in my head after I've played it!)
It also provided a decent challenge too with PLENTY of stages
SMB3 also introduced what is STILL my fave power-up...the Tanooki Suit
Well there's a phrase for that: "They don't make 'em like they used to!"

AlcyoneAX In reply to blueyoshiegg [2016-08-02 02:55:53 +0000 UTC]
I forgot about the Power-ups! Yeah, this game introduced the Tanooki suit, and it has my favorite flight mechanic. There's also the Frog suit that made the water levels easy to navigate and the Hammer suit, rare to find in-game, that I really liked for turning you in a hammer bro., heh.
Even in Mario Maker I tend to pick more levels done in this set because I love it. Although it lacks a lot of things that had the original.

blueyoshiegg In reply to AlcyoneAX [2016-08-02 23:34:57 +0000 UTC]
Aww, the frog suit! I remember those...yep, definitely a big help during the water stages.
Hammer suit? Hmmm... can't say I'm familiar with that one...mind you, if you say they're rare then that's probably why!
Sounds pretty interesting though, I must say!
I'm still yet to play Mario Maker...but, it's definitely on my "to get" list! My PS3 and PS4 have been getting a lot of attention lately

I was going to show you a picture of it but it's better if I don't spoil it. Discovering these things in old games years later give a nice feeling. Although I guess I ruined it a little by mentioning it.
It's a very good game. I couldn't get totally into making so I only play levels. It's rather minimal compared to what offer the original games but, many people are very creative and use all the limited sets to its fullest to create very impressive levels!

blueyoshiegg In reply to AlcyoneAX [2016-08-07 23:02:03 +0000 UTC]
That's fine, dude. No worries! ^^
Yeah, I'm like that with "creation" games... ModNation Racers and LittleBigPlanet (both PS3) are other examples...
I play other levels made by others...but I can't for the life of me make any myself (>.<)
Definitely going to check this one out eventually

Beautiful artwork. I really like the colors and shading you've made here. The mushrooms seem so happy and ignorant toward the dangers just a few meters behind.
