I started playing the first one last year and didn't finish it until like beginning of this month sooo
The first is a little slow to me, doesn't really offer much in terms of a proper story it's more like shooty-tooty quests with "get to the vault" as the main objective
Borderlands 2, the Pre-sequal and Tales from the Borderlands are all AMAZING though with a lot more put into them because a lot of shit goes down and just aaahh
Explodes with story it was no.2 that got me into the series since I got advised to play them all in order instead of jumping right onto the telltale bandwagon

Ye the first one took me a while to get into it
I HAD NEVER PLAYED TELLTALE BEFORe like I was gonna' go straight into tftbl but I got advised by several people o go through the series first bc you understand sO MUCH MORE if you play them all and it's way more enjoyable when you actually understand and it was worth the like 2 weeks of straight gameplay lmao
I AM NOW A SLUT FOR TELLTALE but I don't have money for more
