[ PERSONALITY ]
Personality:
- Loyal: At her core, Azurine remains firm in who and what she stands for. Consistent in her faithful nature, Azurine will not often stray from loved ones. Dependable when her allegiance is pledged, Azurine doesn’t falter. Slow to to give such a pledge, keeping a small circle that she exhibits ultimate loyalty towards, works in her favor the most. Her loyalty is accented by her own desire to protect, she doesn’t want those she loves and desires to see safe to come to harm.
- Passionate: Azura is nearly completely driven by her own emotions. Fiery in nature, the young wolf isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Following her own morals, Azura is vehement in her stances.
- Active: Not particularly raised for self-discipline, Azurine is a quite rambunctious individual, being loud and prone to getting into trouble. Typically the young wolf tries to avoid utter seriousness when in a light mood. Overall full of life, Azurine is energetic and hard to settle down to get to focus. Often she doesn't know her behavior can become erratic and unrestrained in the proper setting, her loud banter is simply a piece of her.
- Obstinate: Extraordinarily stubborn and opinionated, Azurine stands her ground. Hesitation at the unknown has helped to develop a fearful furthering of this trait as she believes that it is better to stand strong with what you know and understand. Being headstrong has led to a certain resilience, she isn't going down easily. This personality trait has also led to a refusal to see other sides of the same narrative if the other has a narrative that conflicts with what she understands. She can be compelled to make a conscious effort to understand other sides if she is given generous reasoning and time to adapt, take away these and expect pushback and an increased digging in of her heels.
- Reserved: In a refusal to burned, Azurine has a tendency to keep strangers at an arm’s length. Unsure of those that are new when they try to interact with her, Azurine prefers to watch others from afar. Typically slower on coming to terms with relations, the wolf is typically unsure of others being completely genuine with her. Typically brutally honest herself, Azurine has begun to figure out that others might not share her own bluntness and that puts her off immensely to consider, further making her personality muted around newcomers.
- Irreverent: The dark-furred female was never truly trained in the art of respect. She does not typically catch onto the seriousness of the beliefs of others, treating them with derision. The young wolf does not often sway to those she scorns, be it religious beliefs or otherwise, if she finds it silly she will make sure those around her know. This isn’t particularly good, but it’s certainly not the worst facet of her personality, as her lack of care for the opinions of others makes her harder to sway.
- Arrogant: It is hard to deny that Azurine has a certain exalted self-image. Young and dumb, Azurine’s belief in her superiority is vested in her belief of her strength. Manifesting in parts of her protective personality, Azurine believes the fact that she is strong gives her a reason to look after those she deems as weaker than herself, not lesser, simply weaker, she can be quite presumptuous of those around her. Her confidence and pride are not the most conducive to self-reflection.
- Abrasive: A sharp tongue complements a being who is already unafraid of conflict, by truly further decreasing her likability. Having a mouth seemingly disconnected from her brain, or quite possibly there is no brain to speak of, Azurine’s words can be curt and cold. Especially when annoyed, one can expect brutal honesty from the young wolf, she could learn how to better phrase herself. Truly Azurine is not an individual with a way with words.
- Brutal: If not treated in a confrontational manner, this side of Azurine remains dormant, but if trifled with, in the truest fashion of her bloodlines, Azurine has been granted a terrible temper. Vicious when angered, Azurine is fiery and volatile. Seeing as the young wolf is unskilled at diplomacy, a certain ease is taken in utilizing her violent nature, the lack of thinking needed for unbridled hatred comes easier than attempting to be rational. Barbarism is what she was raised to partake in as normalcy, thus it extends to many facets of her personality and decisions.

[ HISTORY ]
It was in the twilight of Yahto’s time as a loner, later in the summer months, during which he met a female rogue. Her name was Ambur. She was kind, giving the male directions to his final destination and even hunting for him. The female was also intelligent, able to have deep conversations about An’Nadurie, the very reason Yahto was travelling to FellWood, and able to inform him of the state in the valley. Ambur offered to guide Yahto the rest of the way to FellWood, and seeing as this was an apparent friend and that the male was already run-down with his little hunting and fighting experience, he agreed.
However, it would seem over the next day of travelling together that Ambur would show an interest in the male. The pair would have a single night together, surely a simply short-lived fling in order to keep warm for the night. The male left as Ambur slept to arrive in FellWood not long after.
It was on the cusp of late autumn and early winter that Ambur’s pups were born. Azurine was born alongside her smaller brother, Ao. The young female was utterly enormous, something evident even soon after birth. She would come to understand her own inherent strength, easily visible with being of such a large size compared to others. Always having a soft spot for her sibling, she would often feign defeat in their playing, getting her own high from the elation he felt.
Azura would come to feel a coldness stemming from Ambur as the young wolf aged. Ambur was never really interested in having pups, for she was accustomed to the rather selfish, yet lonely life of a loner. Puppies meant she would have to expend resources with little being returned back to her. Azurine would never know how close she and her brother came to being abandoned, as Ambur grew increasingly distant once they were finally weaned.
Though Ambur was gone more and more, she still would periodically return with scraps of food that the growing puppies were forced to subsist from. Azura and Ao were to stay in the den at all times, leaving them at the mercy of Ambur’s bursts of graciousness. Neither pup really properly filled out nor grew out very quickly, but Azurine had a particular affinity for attempting to make sure Ao had closer to a proper fill before she took for herself, the larger pup would grow bony, her body struggling to allocate resources to her growing frame and her nourishment. The dark-furred pup was there as a motherly role for Ao, especially due to their mother not truly caring for them. It was just them, Ao and Azurine.
The pair probably would have eventually wasted away eventually. But for some blessed reason, Ambur returned and ordered the pair to come with her. Unsure of what she had in mind for them, the pups followed with uncertainty in their footfalls. The female would lead them to the border of a nearby pack, where the small party would be found by a group of unfamiliar wolves.
The pack, known as Six Ridge, would be where the siblings finally thrived. Finally being able to eat more regularly, the pair would fill out and no longer appear as such scrawny scraps. The socialization offered by the other pups was crucial to their proper growth socially, as they were prepped for pack life. Ambur remained distant from the pair, which ultimately didn’t bother them as they never really had a closeness to her, so they didn’t really know to miss a relationship with her. It was always Ao and Azura.
As the pair aged into juveniles, they were trained to fight and hunt, as any other member of the pack would be. The much larger Azurine was shown to be skilled quickly, cruelty and viciousness came naturally to the female. She watched as Ao struggled in comparison, not having her sturdy and comparatively gigantic form. Azurine came to the conclusion he would never give up and for that she was pleased with him. She was proud of her smaller brother, though she did worry after him.
It wouldn’t be long before Ao began to wish to find out about their father. Pressing their mother, Ao would come to find out the identity of the pair’s father. He would be in the nearby Ceblain, in a pack called FellWood. This was enough to give Ao ideas, making him dwell upon the possibility of finding a father figure that he lacked. This is where he and his sister disagreed. Azura loathed Ambur for budging, she loathed the pack for planting the idea of a mysterious father in the first place. It made her seethe to consider the idea of finding a father who had abandoned them, for if he truly wanted them he would have been in their lives, but instead he left them with an uncaring female. She and Ao were a happy family unit, who needed a mother? Who needed a father?
Azurine would never budge in her her thinking, her perception of family was forever warped by Ambur. She worked hard to shelter her sibling, as had Six Ridge, perhaps this was her underdoing. Ao was simply blissfully naive, and after finding out more information he left on his way to Ceblain to hopefully follow the trail of his father. Finding her brother gone, the large juvenile was found in a frenzy. Disbelieving in his stupidity, she took off after the smaller wolf determined to find him before he got himself killed. The dark-furred female followed his trail in her single-minded manner, not realizing when she found herself closer to Ty’Kogan territory rather than the FellWoodian border.
The caterwaul of a mountain lion would signal the temporary end to her search. Feeling the claws of the beast upon her shoulder and muzzle, it would be by the grace of a stranger that was not where she fell. The vicious, young juvenile would find out the wolf was named Pompeii and she was of Ty’Koga. Feeling indebted, Azura would come to join the female’s pack, owing her life to that fateful intervention.
For now her search for her brother is paused. She still hopes to find Ao soon, though for now she’s attempting to adjust to pack life.
