Personality: This mare is less a horse and more a sports car. Luxurious, intelligent and well-travelled, Risk was the most expensive purchase the Academy made. She is intense, bright and powerful, with a jump that throws even experienced riders out of their seat the first few times. A total powerhouse around all three disciplines, Risk has the floaty paces for dressage, the bravery for cross country, and the sensibility for showjumping. However, she is still a very headstrong horse that is not suitable for inexperienced riders as she will refuse to listen to a rider that doesn’t exhibit clear skill. Risk is the prime example of a top eventing horse, and can give riders the feeling of what it will be like to ride horses like that once they graduate - but she will not be allocated to just anyone.
History: Bought alongside her full sister Riot from a retiring eventer, Risk was competing successfully at 5 star level internationally, with top 10 finishes at both Badminton and Kentucky horse trials.
