Personality: This mare was a thoroughbred in another life, no doubt. She tackles everything at a hundred miles per hour, and her brain thinks that fast too - incredibly sharp and constantly questioning and analysing her rider’s choices. Riot is an absolute monster on the cross country field, filled with boundless confidence and a massive jump, but she is also one of the strongest horses you’ll meet. She’ll take your arm right out of the socket if you give her the chance, so while incredibly talented she is unsuitable for younger riders and those without nerves of absolute steel. She gets easily bored doing dressage, and has a tendency to rush fences in showjumping.
History: Riot, along with her full sister Risk, were bought from an older eventing rider who was getting to the end of their competitive career. Riot was simply just too much for an older rider who didn’t bounce quite as well as the Academy kids, but they did compete up to 4 star level and Riot has the potential to go further.
