Location: Romania,Southern Carpathians, Parang MountainsThe Southern Carpathians or the Transylvanian Alps are a group of mountain ranges which divide central and southern Romania, on one side, and Serbia, on the other side.
The Southern Carpathian group are the second highest group of mountains in the Carpathian Mountain range (after Tatra), reaching heights of over 2,500m. Although considerably smaller than the Alps, they are classified as having an alpine landscape. Their high mountain character, combined with great accessibility, makes them popular with tourist and scientists.
The highest peaks are:
*Moldoveanu Peak, 2,544 metres - Făgăraș Mountains, *Negoiu, 2,535 metres - Făgăraș Mountains
*Parângu Mare, 2,519 metres - Parâng Mountains
*Peleaga, 2,509 metres - Retezat Mountains
*Omu (mountain) 2,507 metres - Bucegi Mountains

Very rugged & rolling, the colour of the sky and the hills are lovely, and lighting is quite nice too. The shadows are off-key, though: they appear to be more blue than usual. Sunlight tends to be blue-shifted, which is an easy fix with most photo-editing software on the market. But it doesn't detract from the image all too much, it's still a great shot! I just thought I'd let you know.
