MYRE Vol 2 Estimated Release

Hi everyone!

First and foremost, thank you for your patience and for helping me keep my chin up by sending words of encouragement. You are an incredible bunch of supporters, and I often don't know how I got so lucky to have you! And because of all of your support and patience, you deserve to know about the whereabouts of Myre and how she and the project is doing! You may take a breath of relief because both are doing very well – at last. In the midst of 2021 and the entirety of 2022 have been a rollercoaster of events that kept throwing me off the rails every time I found quietude. And every time when events and tasks doubled, I managed to cling to the most important task; which is to bring Myre 2 into your shelves.

Today is my father's 66th birthday.
And it's kind of strange for me to choose this day to finally talk about an estimation to when you can expect Myre to be completed, since so much stuff is attached to it. But when not now, when ever? I think today is a good day because it will break open a barrier which I had had my head stuck behind for a very long time – struggling with all insane events throughout the course of the entirety of the past year of 2021/2022.

The loss of my father, being thrown into a new side of my huge family, renovating our first place from scratch and other smaller things that kept piling up, slowed my usual work flow on Myre down by a lot. Yet, whenever life threw something new at me, I caught it, sorted it out and went back to working on Myre, no matter how small the time frame was then. Of course, without my wonderful partners, friends, family and supporters, none of this would have been possible.

Since July last year, I knew that I will have to postpone the release of Vol 2: It just wasn't so clear to me yet back then.
It is more clear for me now – especially since I finally settled back into normalcy. But it's more certain than last year,too: I postponed the release of Myre Vol 2 by a year.

You may expect Myre Vol to be completed in December 2023. The date isn't settled and may be subject to change. However, you'll get updates telling you about major milestones reached.

I'm currently in the sole progress of completing pages, which means painting and rendering, which is a straightforward process. All linework is done and colouring is pretty much what's left.
However, there are some extremely dense chapters that will take a bunch of time to complete. But getting there, one page at a time, feels like powering through like a steam locomotive – steadily.

That was a bunch to read again, sorry about that!

To summarize this post: Myre might hit the printer in Dec 2023. Though whether it will be earlier or even later, I can't tell yet. It's a rough estimation on my experience and the level of difficulty of certain chapters.
Myre finally goes smoothly, with my work day consisting of almost nothing else but the project. Also, I can proudly say that I have 6-8 hours of sleep again.
