Description Not everyone who makes a journey wants to encounter many different people, especially when they will take up the entire space of almost an entire valley.

Also, not everyone would like to stand in front of an obstacle that is made of a group of massive critters carrying entire cities on their back which belong to the worst guys in the country. Those ones are called The Dwellers and are a bunch of freaked out rhinos that collect garbage and steal worthy materials with which they perfectly build their well running machines and armor.

Myre has no clue why the heck she got into them and how she will get away from the walking town without a scratch.
This is quite a special scene which will be included in the comic and something that got stuck in my head for a very long time. It's more or less a concept but probably works as a full painting, too.

Kebi and I figured out what would work best to give the scene a face and to make Golgo look omnipresent just as much as his ride. Kebi also helped me a lot with my perspective issues and suggested great things about lighting and detailing. You can see one of Golgo's very first designs here:

His critter looked less dangerous yet more clumsy. Since the dwellers as well as their dragons are extremely heavy and move extremely slow, we had to provide them with everything they need, for example their own electricity system and water supply. More concepts need yet to be made and I'm sure there will be some absolutely weird and freaky constructions among them. ;]

Thanks a lot for looking!

walking... cities. now there's an original idea. i've heard of swimming islands that were actually turtles, and of lands on the backs of flying dragons, but this is new. congratulations. i am impressed.

That's just brilliant. Both colors and composition are great. And I also like that you made the closer objects blurry.

This is really cool, I love how in the background you can get an idea of the immensity of the creatures and the cities they carry... Really lends power to the whole scene.

From the concept of the creatures to the hazy atmospheric effect of the traveling herd, to the focus on the lead Dweller and blur of the character in the foreground. There are so many things to engage the viewer in the moment. Fantastic!

Now that I've read the description, I think making the rhino dude smaller would have helped.. also scaling back everything but maybe the creature's head with some atmospheric gradation. I'd be happy to show you what I mean

Oh man... That is just wild! <3

I really love the depth of field in this, with the primary focus on the Dweller out in front; it does an excellent job of making the Dwellers come across as larger than life. I think the angling of the creatures and their towers on the left was a great choice; it really gives off the impression of them rocking almost haphazardly on their backs.

Awesome work!

Wow! Great concept (extra kudos for having a rhino-man ; )). So.. what happens when one of the base creatures dies? That'd be a lot of gear/belongings/working systems to loose, or transfer/move or even gut/salvage. Gotta find out more on this concept now ; ).

I like to read descriptions. My first impression was "LotR ripoff!" (for the way oliphants used to carry archers on their back in the story) but then again you describe this brilliant scene and characters and creatures sooo uniquely... And there's a whole city there! I love it. Oringinal. Keep the good work going, I'm with you

Meiiiiiiine Güte, das Bild ist der Hammer! *_*

Wow.

Mannnnnn, ich will jetzt unbedingt deinen Comic sehen. *_*

JESUS! Actually I had to comment on this immediately once I've seen this artwork.. but I was kindof busy and wanted to collect better words to write..

I just have NO words how Im amazed of this artwork. That's probably my most favourite art from you.. it's almost perfect illustration. Is so living... I can see the action, smell, emotions and atmosphere. I watch many good artists for years on dA and.. nobody created something like how you did. Even you have surpassed great *sandara She is incredible skilled and so proffessional but.. never created anything with splendid feeling and atmosphere like you. Good Lord. I'm starting to love Myre more and more.

I SO love the distance on this. You used absolutely perfect techique with "picture theory"- I mean, the closest element is blurred and darkened, middle is most visible and the furthest is sketchy and faded into lights. That's absolutely perfect composition and happens only in photography.

I love also so dramatic lighting. Dramatic highlights and shadows (aka Twilight Princess' style a like) makes my skin to creep out of awesomeness. I always loved for the most dramatic shading and intense coloring.

God, I love this so hardly. It looks like.. a proffessional illustration for.. game. A good game. And yes, I've readed yours note and I'll reply ASAP because that's experience which I have and would love to share with you
