Description
Have you ever felt like having a burden to carry yet you don't know how to free yourself from it or seek for advice; the little light at the end of the tunnel? When everything pushes you down, you look for a helping hand that comforts you.
Hope for the best.
The original will be at the Artshow at MMC 13
I feel very, very bitter about the scan result. I can't explain you what a damn odyssey I went through with my scanner. All of a sudden the preview popup won't show and I have no possibility to adjust important scanner options for darker scans. I probably scanned it 25 times until the result was a little better for me.
I just took the picture out of the scanner and it feels as warm as if it is a print freshly coming out of the printer. The whole scanning process and adjustments in Photoshop were such a severe pain in the ass that my nerves almost got me again.
This is now at least the closest version to the original.
Airbrushing is a hell of a lot fun and I want to get more chances to work with it. The brush couldn't do what the airbrush did with the background but there are still some slight textures which I kind of like.
Oh and yeah, I can't paint fur because I suck at it. Haha.
I'm now so frustrated that I will do some online shopping like prints and such...
Thanks so much for your support and for the look!

This is very inspirational. I've often tried to find that light at the end of the tunnel to discover it was close to me all along. Love the steampunk look of the character! The light is so dramatic but it conveys a sense of peace.

Beautiful piece of work. I like how he looks sadly at the small plant like he misses being truely 'natural' and that the machine parts of him are evil and unatural. I hope that made sense I don't honestly know how to discribe it.XD

Uh-mayzing detail! I really like the earthy colors of all the machinery, which, by the way, looks like it would actually work.

You can't do fur? Coming from you, that has to be the most hilarious thing I've heard all week. You, much like my favorite author, are incapable of making anything less than perfect. I like the dirty, rusty feel of the machinery and wolf with the clean, pure plant right next to it.

Oh wow! with the coloring looks more lively the wolf... I donΒ΄t know why, but when I watch it, it makes me feel sad... maybe because the fact that he has machines as a part of the body, that means for me a part that he or she lost... How deep is that feeling, I like it. and What do you feel about it ^ ^

i much prefer the composition in this version. It makes a lot more sense & seems more solemn.
I hate what my scanner does to my work. It totally bleaches it - no matter what i do
I actually like the job you did with the fur. It has the thickness that wolf fur has.

Gods, I envy your airbrushing skill... This turned out better than i could think of when i saw the uncolored verision.
That green color... i cant stop look at it. It's just so fresh and pure. And the tiny twig bow in a way that it's almost looks like it pity that poor fella.
can't paint fur because you suck at it???
I so want to punch you right now...
It turnedo ut magnificent. And that's it.

this is so gorgeous!! I love the steampunk designs in the wolf (especially the little "beads" under her eyes for some reason) and the overall message and mood is wonderful. I can completely sympathize with this...I'm having feelings just like that at the moment This helped make me feel a little better though
And I have to agree with others...your fur is so beautiful and I love the green light

AWESOME!!
SOMETIMES TO ENHANCE AN IMAGE, I USUALLY GO FOR THE SMARTEN MASK ON SHARPEN IN PHOTOSHOP JUST TO SHOW SOME HIDDEN DETAIL.
AND IF ALL ELSE FAILS GO TO THE EXPOSURE BUTTON UNDER CURVES TO SEE IF YOU CAN ADJUST THE DEPTH.
STILL A REMARKABLE IMAGE.

Man this is amazing!! THE FUR IS WONDERFUL!!! And I seriously thought this was a mixed media piece. The airbrushing looks good, I can imagine how making an airbrush mistake could ruin your whole painting. And I love the reflective colors on his mechanical parts. And the colors of this - so macabre, but with a little breath of freshness with the green. In conclusion: (sings) FABULOUS!
