Another quickie which took a little longer due to its size and amount of detail.I think I could do better if I took more time but I want to get used to create depth with speed paintings first. I recycled the spirit from another painting I did once and I think i like this one much more. ^^
For the leaves and texture, I customized my own brushes. When I find out how to safe and upload them, I want to share them with you.
Yesterday, we had slight rain showers that broke through the clouds and let through some sunlight. I love the atmospheric light taht rain can create.

This image brings me peace.
I had a troubling and I suppose traumatic experience at the hands of a friend(who is thankfully no longer in my life) and I haven't really drawn anything in the 2years since. I feel old, decayed and brittle inside without what had been such a vital part of me. I keep being told "just give it time"....I feel the itch to create but every attempt is a struggle. This piece gives me hope and provokes the thought that maybe I simply need my own "summer rain" to wash everything away and bring fresh life to my creative heart.

Wow, this is so serene and beautiful! I saw your Elemental Raccoon when I was looking up raccoon pictures for my sister (bc apparently she's all about them now haha) and then I decided to look at your gallery bc someone in the comments said all of your elemental animals were beautiful.
