Another concept for the graphic novel "Myre" on which Kebi and I are working on.
I was trying out to work more with depth out of my head without any references. Speedpaintings surely can be a good practice and I hope to get better into the flow one day. Also, I need to start painting buildings and ruins as they will be major elements in the graphic novel as well. ^^'
What is up with the ruin and the massive tree is still a little secret. You will get to know more about it later.
"Myre" is coming along nicely. The complete start has been written down and only needs to be put on paper. But I want to develop my style a little further before I can see myself capable to bind it tight in a novel.

BTW that colour of sky is so beautiful! I find it virtually impossible to get with pencils! The scenery is stunning and you should be applauded for being one of the few artists who can draw both characters and scenery! Bravo Alector!

I love dramatic fantasy landscapes like this, with stones and ruins. The single tree definitely catches one's attention, surrounded by all that stone.
This makes me think of games like "MYST" and "Riven," for some reason.

i need to work on doing "sceenery" like this. It makes me so frustrated that I cannot draw what I see in my head so others can enjoy it as well. Using words just does not convey what I see.
