I got a leopard gecko a few months ago, and named him HowieHe's honestly helped me so much with my mental health- having a little friends to take care of gives me inspiration and holds me responsible for something.
I finally drew him!! <3

At first I thought it was a snake head, then I read the description. It looks cool either way xD
The hero of the piece is the eye, since it is also the most charming part of lizards I think it fits well. I would have liked to see it more closely because it really does look wonderful. The colors also compliment it and I like how it's light and faded. Maybe the part underneath the face could use more shadows though, even as a rough sketch, since you have used a darker green above the mouth.
The drawing looks wonderful as a rough portrait, but it also leaves it a bit unclear, as I said earlier I saw a snake instead of a gecko. Though honestly I wouldn't like it any other way. Since the gecko is your friend and not your subject, it sort of reflects the closeness you have with it. In conclusion I think the piece could use more shadows but otherwise I love this drawing and I think it's wonderful work.

From the thumbnail I could see gentle, harmonious colors. Nice palette choice! The pink sticks out a bit, but it works. Something I find interesting about your work is that your comment is very gentle, but the art came out with a mixture sharp and soft. It gives off the soft vibe from the way you colored outside the lines. It gives off a sharp/aggressive vibe because of the short, straight lines you use to sketch with. It seems that way with a lot of your artwork in your gallery. There's nothing wrong with that btw, just a thing to keep in mind when you're thinking about the mood that your artwork gives off.
I noticed that the images are upload are rather small. Maybe try experimenting with a larger canvas (at least 2000x2000?) It can be interesting working with different sizes and ratios. (or maybe I'm wrong and you size them down before you upload them?) You seem to use soft gradients a lot when shading/coloring. Maybe try some hard, contrasting elements. Staying outside your comfort zone can help push your skills.
Anyway, cool stuff! From your gallery I can tell you have a good eye for color. Keep up the good work!

First, I just want to say that I LOVE lizards of all kind, which is one of the reasons I chose this one to draw 
My only criticism is that his outline looks a little messy, more like a sketch than a finished piece, which is not necessarily bad, I'm just not sure that's what you were really going for. I'm also not sure what that small pink triangle on his head is supposed to be, but it stands out and catches the eye.
Other than that, I really love this drawing, and Howie looks absolutely adorable

I really like this ! it's simple, sketched, with sketched down colors and a nice touch of fluid background (defines no limits) and a fully colored eye.
