Ah, squirrels. They look so cuddly and yet are bony with a thin layer of almost-like-felt fur. Deceptive little critters.
Where were you in relation to the squirrel to get this shot? It appears to be looking directly at the camera itself.

They are cute but I have seen them leap on people so I am wary of their cuddly charms.
If I recall correctly I was just crouching on the floor in front of it, maybe a few metres away? He came over while I was photographing some interested ducks. He probably clocked me yes, maybe thought it was a Dalek coming towards him.

I would quite like to see a battle between a such a creature and a Dalek. I imagine the Dalek would have trouble hitting such a fast moving target. Could it throw enough nuts to smash the eyestalk camera?

There's no way a Dalek could catch a squirrel, maybe they can get up stairs but I bet they can't climb trees.

And for each tree they shoot, the squirrel would just leap to another. This is how forest fires occur.
