It looks to be a shot of the inside of a bougainvillea. (They were ubiquitous where I lived in California)

No, not sure....I believe it is in the Lantana family of flowers, but don't quote me on that.....

Certainly it is very unlikely! I find it striking resemblance considering here, in Argentina, is not a very common plant. Even between shots that I have, there are a much more similar, with two flowers in the frame and one cut stem (though not submit it, because it is out of focus).
