Description Waiting quietly for quite a long time, he was calmly sitting there, watching people passing by.
Waiting was my guess.. he was rather taking a rest maybe.

a very beautiful photo (as of course is fitting for your work!)

he really conveys the image that have of an old japanese man...very calm and patient, happy to wait for anything if needed to. it especially works in b&w for me - you've got a lot of detail in there (and i guess from that, a nice new camera too, eh?! )

great (and so are the rest of your pics from japan...sorry it's been so long since i last took a look )

this man has got to have such patience, and the picture maintains its tranquility when seen at full view. a moment of silence, beautiful. i like where the man is sat at, i like how youve given spacing at right. the pose is great too, and B&W works fantastic here

Thanks so much Michel
as we talked about the topic recently, I was very anxious, it was too obvious taking him with me on my CF-Card

im blown away by this picture. the detail is just amazing throughout the photo. the composition of this photo has such a National Geographic, japanese culture feel to it.

also by the way, thats definately a sweet camera you got there. heh even just a little better than the 300D.

wow.. now that's a great compliment to recieve, thanks so much!
the 300d is like the small brother of the 10d, but better don't ask me the price of it

I really like this one, especially all those chinese symbols
Did he really consent to being banned onto your flash-card? ^^

Aleks-kun In reply to dukeluke [2004-05-10 06:41:06 +0000 UTC]

thanksa lot luke
but sorry to correct, that these are Japanese symbols

he looked always a bit suspicious to me, and I tried aiming somewhere else, but then fast turned to him and shot him.. as you can see he was not fast enough giving me the evil glance

I'll never learn how to distinguish chinese from japanese symbols ^^
