Ok, as I write my review of the seventh chapter of Tokyo Mew Mew New second season, I will start talking about one of my favorite anime couples and how their love story always moves me and I find it most touching.
This couple belongs to the anime "Inuyasha", created by Rumiko Takahashi (who is also the creator of the Ranma 1/2 manga) in 1996 with 56 manga volumes and two anime seasons with a total of 193 episodes, released in 2000.
Inuyasha's story is about a boy who is a half demon (with dog ears), proud, aggressive, selfish but noble and whose goal is to steal the Shikon Pearl, which will allow him to become a full demon, but ends up being hurt and imprisoned in a magical tree for 50 years by the priestess Kikyō and she is burned to death along with the pearl. 500 years later, in present-day Japan, Kagome Hiragushi, a 15-year-old teenager who lives in a temple leaves her house to go to school but her cat disappears next to a sacred well that is part of the temple and while searching for it, a centipede demon emerges from inside the well, breaking the seal and transporting Kagome to feudal times, 500 years ago. There she discovers that she is the reincarnation of the priestess Kikyo who died 50 years before and that the long-awaited pearl with which she was cremated was hidden in her body. Kikyo's younger sister, named Kaede, gives the Shikon pearl to Kagome with the aim of guarding it and continuing her work of purifying it, but not before Kagome frees Inuyasha from his seal on the tree to kill the demon centipede.
Unfortunately, in an incident caused by a raven demon, the jewel is destroyed into thousands of fragments that are scattered throughout the region. Because of this, Inuyasha and Kagome are on a mission to recover these fragments before other demons use them to plunge the world into chaos and together, Inuyasha and Kagome will make new friends on their adventure to fully recover the pearl and little by little, although at first they get along badly and have constant fights and arguments, the two become friends and that friendship turns later into love, reaching the point where both Inuyasha and Kagome come to sacrifice themselves for each other and worry about each other and at the end of the series, Kagome returns to her time with her family and friends, finishing high school and marrying Inuyasha and having a daughter with him, similar to her. Without a doubt, it is one of the love stories that I like the most and one of my favorite couples in the world of anime, after Usagi/Serena with Mamoru/Darien (Sailor Moon) and their love goes beyond possibilities, but in the end, both make their love sincere and lasting.
