Description I remember that when I was a child, after my parents picked me and my sister up from school and we returned home to eat, I always turned on the television to watch one of my favorite anime from my childhood, which I really enjoyed because of the story and for the message it conveys about being persistent in life to get what you want, always trusting in yourself to succeed in life despite the difficulties that are in your path. I think this anime has a good message and serves as an example for girls to fight for what you want and above all, I like that the protagonist goes through many difficulties and challenges to earn the respect of others and how she did not stop or give up and in the end, she managed to fulfill her dream thanks to her hard work and her perseverance to get ahead and thanks to her enthusiasm and determination, she managed to be admired by the other characters and some were even interested in acting with her in the function and I remember with nostalgia how this anime was broadcast on Cartoon Network. This anime I'm talking about is called: “Kaleido Star”, created by Junichi Sato, directed by Junichi Sato and Yoshimasa Hiraike, produced by Yoshiyuki Furuya, Takeshi Sasamura and Shunji Namiki, created in 2003 and ended in 2004 with a manga by 6 volumes and an anime divided into two seasons with a total of 51 episodes, being broadcast on Cartoon Network.
The story of Kaleido Star is about a fifteen-year-old Japanese girl with pink hair named Sora Naegino, who is optimistic, tender, kind, dreamy and skilled at doing acrobatics, who lost her parents when she was very little, but was adopted by a loving family who took her to the Kaleido stage to witness the play of “Alice In Wonderland” and after marveling at the acrobatics and the act, Sora decides to become an artist on the Kaleido stage and for this reason, she travels to California to audition as an artist on the Kaleido stage, but unfortunately, Sora arrives very late for her first audition after a thief tries to steal her suitcase and a police officer takes her to the Kaleido stage and although Sora tries to ask to be allowed to audition, the star of the Kaleido scenario, Layla Hamilton does not allow her to audition due to being late and tells her to go home. But after one of the performers gets hurt, the owner of the circus named Kalos, tells Sora that he will give her a chance to participate in the show and although Sora manages to do a good act, she is judged by the other performers on the Kaleido stage for having managed to enter without any audition and continuously, Layla and Yuri Killian, Layla's stage partner, force her to go through training with exhausting and heavy routines, but despite that, Sora maintains her positive attitude and by working hard, she manages to earn the respect of the Kaleido Star cast on stage and she even becomes friends with some members of the circus such as: Mia Guillem and Anna Heart, two girls who are part of the cast as secondary artists; Ken Robbins, the stage director, a tender and shy boy who has a crush on Sora; Sarah Dupont, who is the singer on the Kaleido stage; the young artist Marion Benigni and Fool, a spirit that symbolizes the Kaleido stage and those who have a pure heart and deserve to be on the Kaleido stage (although he is also quite perverted and constantly asks Sora to undress for him to see her). As the plot of the series progresses, Sora gains more and more confidence and self-assurance while going through increasingly complicated challenges and gaining more experience, and even earns the respect of Miss Layla, becoming her friend and participates in several works together with several famous artists, including the young Leon Oswald, who is a handsome but at the same time serious boy with long white hair, an expert in the trapeze, who has a certain interest in Sora because of her personality similar to that of his deceased sister Sophie, with whom he practiced trapeze and he becomes attached to Sora and becomes her partner on the trapeze, determined to fulfill the promise he made to his sister to perform her trapeze routine of the act of the angel
The truth is that Kaleido Star is one of my favorite animes because of its teaching about perseverance and never giving up on the dreams you want to achieve and I must admit that when I was little, I really liked the couple that Sora and Leon made and how Sora's relationship with Leon develops, because at first Leon was too serious and cold with Sora, but little by little he began to show consideration for Sora and it even seemed that he began to fall in love with her for her sweet and determined personality. Although I don't think they end up staying together, I think they both make a nice couple. Kaleido Star has beautiful animation and a quite exciting and fascinating story and the characters are also quite interesting, especially those who have a tragic past such as Layla, Yuri and Leon and I really recommend watching this anime if you like motivational stories and circus acts, then this one story may be to your liking. 💫⭐️🌟✨🎪🎭
