"Once upon a time, there was a mysterious race of women that hailed from beyond the stars called gems. They were ruled by a powerful quartet, the Diamonds. Although their empire was wondrous and mighty, their way of adding to their nation held desolating consequences. Pink Diamond, the youngest, then chose the planet Earth for her very first colony, only to be met with defiance by a growing group of rebels led by Rose Quartz called the Crystal gems. War quickly broke out over a dreadful action, and in so doing, the Diamonds directly attacked Earth in retribution.
Only a small number of Crystal gems survived, their leader included. Centuries later however, Rose Quartz met and eventually fell in love with a human man, Greg Universe. And in time, by giving up her physical form, a son was was born to them Steven.
Little did they know was that past would catch up to the Crystal gems very soon..."

But really though, this s one of the most beautiful designs I've ever seen.

Steven: "Hey Peridot, what do you ever think you'll do years from now?"
Peridot: "I don't know, maybe go back to the Homeworld when everything is better there, if it ever gets better."
Steven: "Well you could do something like....telling stories?"
Peridot: "Telling a story is fun?"
Steven: "Sure I've heard plenty of them that are great, maybe you'll tell some stories to someone someday."
Peridot: "I doubt it."
Years later Peridot is looking at the stained glass image and sees her image on it and smiles. She then hears some kids coming up behind her.
"Peridot, is it time yet?" "Can we hear the story today?" "Is it gonna be scary?"
Peridot: "Okay, calm down kids, this is the story of Steven Universe...."
