Description
A fallout flaming sword... that was a good idea. This was put together using a nerf sword, aquarium tubing, a jerry can, a bike handbrake, and a tap dial. and hot glue of course! I put it together over a day and a half and it got more attention at Anime North than my laser pistol. ( a little over a month of off and on work) ah well, I'm glad it was appreciated, and it will likely end up back next year.Related content

He's using a nerf sword, so I doubt it'll be able to sustain a controlled fire without everything melting

I would like to know how you do this, I really like the overall design, the nerf sword is a good idea but you can also use crafter's foam and special fabric spray paint. Is that a gas can? I surely hope its a clean one Lol. nice strap, did you buy that or create it, also where did you find a motorcycle handbreak? Didn't know you can buy those Lol how much are they if you donot mind me asking? How much was the whole project?

Sorry it tok so long to get back to you! I've been away awhile, but in response to your questions; it's a brand new gas can, 5 bucks at a hardware store. The strap came with another nerf weapon Starchip13 bought me, we just went over the orange centre stripe with black paint. The brake is really a bycicle brake but you'd never really tell the difference, it came from the same hardware store that the gas can come frome ^_^ All in all this probably cost around 30 dollars but thats considering I had several bits on hand already. The tubing and dial for instance. Hope that helps!

Sorry 'bout the delay. I'm an amateur too and I mostly went with my gut... The detailing is pretty easy, just took a dirty rag with black paint to it, makes it look pretty authentic

I wonder if you could order them cheap on E-Bay or something? They'd likely ding you on shipping, but you might get lucky in an auction

Nice work with the shishkebab!
I like the burnt detail on the gastank and the handle on the weapon.

Thank you! I tried to keep it close to the original but in the end had to take some creative license. I like the jerry can too!
