I just imagine - what if Robocop had an adaptation in anime? And no, not all anime are hentai/ecchi or cute and sweet cartoons, it also can be brutal and dark too. Like, "Black Lagoon" anime is full or shootouts, murders, blood, gore and violence. A "Madhouse, Inc." studio has a pretty good track record about doing dark n' gritty anime (such as previously mentioned "Black Lagoon").
