I would be lying if I said that Allen wasn't kinky~ Left to right the Characters are Allen Rail, Sapphire Kingston and Ally Bates. Allen is pretty tiny, you could also consider her an acrobat so she's pretty strong. Sapphire is a hard core book worm, so she's a bit softer. Ally is a bleeding beast, nothing about her is soft right down to her personality.
Just wanted to practice drawing women's torso's and chests. I had a pretty good mental image of women from Allen Rail's story, (I was planing on the Mists, but, I-don't really know all of the names that go with the physical descriptors, and didn't feel like looking it up in one of the 20 journals I have...) Anyways, my girls are fun to draw! Not to mention they have school uniforms, under their skirts they wear these elastic shorts, (it prevents flashing and is more comfortable, and no one has to check hemlines) They're getting changed for gym.
Ally's hips came out a bit weird, but eay, it was fun XD

Haha, always! I like to keep a healthy balance. If I practice with my boys then I'll do the same with my girls. I also just love how human bodies are put together~ they're super interesting! I still have a ways to go, but I'm pleased with how this came out XD

They are my oc's from Allen's story (the small one); Allen and Sapphire (the brown haired girl) are the main characters. Allen is pretty acrobatic (like a bleeding spider monkey honestly, she can climb practically anything, pretty confident round heights, jumping, damn flexible too). This skill is invaluable in her work. Ally is just a beast. She's a mountain biker, (she'll climb all day if it means that she gets a sick downhill), a boxer and a dancer. (her parent's don't know about boxing, and she never tells them what kind of biker she is, and dancing was the only thing that they made her do.) She looks (and probably is) chronically annoyed. Sapphire is a book worm through and through which is why she's a little softer than they are. She's not bad at sports, but she prefers a good book. I'm sure that her largest workout is hauling the books to and from the library. Allen and Sapphire are also roommates, one of Allen's favorite pass times is to tease Sapphire.
They all go to the same school, and have a school uniform (boots, skirt, button down shirt, coat and bow tie) with standard undergarments seen here. I was going to draw them with different patterned bras-but-found out I just wanted to focus on muscle structure~ It's a start, but I have a ways to go before they look like the images in my mind XD

Ally sounds. She's very athletic. Although the bookwarm
seems pretty cool to. All three of them have awesome names
that go with them real well.
Do you have a comic/manga of them at all? I would love
to read on these original characters. I think it's awesome that
Allen sounds a little like a flying monkey with all her acrobatic
abilities. Oh and what kind of Genre is your story?

Haha, yeah, they've been with me for a while now (round 4 years). They've made it really easy for me to do character development. They are a strange bunch, and I swear they get quirkier by the year XD Thank you for your interest ^^
Haha, yeah, it's one of the few stories I have where all the characters have full names. Allen Rail, Sapphire Kingston, Ally Bates (there are a lot more characters too). Allen and Sapphire are the main characters, with much of the story being told from Allen's point of view.
Categories would be Fantasy/supernatural, comedy, drama and yuri
They're probably in their late teens early 20's for the most part, attending a private all girls college (Sapphire's dad is on the board of trustees). Ally's family has been sending their daughter's there for generations and tend to make generous donations. Allen's guardian had recently enrolled her in the school, and had it set up so that she'd room with Sapphire Kingston. Allen had been living off the streets, doing whatever it took to make ends meet. She didn't know who she was or where she had come from. All she knew was that she had magic, but using it came at too great a cost. At her most desperate was when she met her benefactor, Lord Yang. He promised that she'd be able to use her magic without getting sick, that she'd have a name a purpose. If she agreed to a little contract, she could have all of those things. Naturally she accepted, and has been the lackey of Lord Yang ever since. Her assignment at the school is to keep an eye on Sapphire, to keep her safe; and to run little errands for him at night while Sapphire is tucked in bed. The shadows watch her to make sure that she is doing what is supposed to be done (never a sure thing, she has issues with authority xD) She's a chaotic neutral all the way.

XD Yeah, most of my characters look pretty normal, and they're generally confined by the norms of the human world, so they don't have many opportunities to show off the fantastical side of themselves. But Allen, just because she is such a free spirit, brings an element of comedy.
Haha, well, I've been hard pressed to find a yuri that has plot, or one with characters with believable personalities. It's not the main focus of my story by any means, the characters are compatible, so, why not?!
Though, if you like slice of life with comedy I would recommend "Their Story" by TanJiu. It's the only one that I've read where I'd actually like to hang out with the characters. But I digress.

Lord Yang? Sadly not, (well, nothing recent) I've always had trouble picturing him to be honest. He also has a lot of names~ This name is derived from the Yin-Yang symbol, with Yang meaning Light. He will also answer to the name God of Light, which, in fact, he is. Doesn't make him any less of a jerk. Allen generally communicates with him through the shadow messengers.
Haha, she wishes it was a cold! Really, how ill she gets depends on the size of the spell, the stronger the magic/the more she uses, the worse off she is. Starts with mild shakes, nausea, tremors, seizures, temperature spikes, and from there it can tear her apart from the inside, quite literally. But she generally loses consciousness well before that point (saves her life honestly). This picture was done just for funzies: What The Hell Allen!?
Thanks to the contract she signed with Lord Yang, he can also trigger this...ailment (for lack of a better term) to varying degrees as punishment for defying him. Some discretion is involved, because, she really isn't good at following orders XD

Mangakakalot.com has some pretty good stories on it, from both of the discussed genres. You'll also be able to find Their Story on there (the first one in the Shoujo-Aie section, I believe that it goes by the Chinese name on that sight, Tamen de Gushi) The same studio that produced thier story also is producing a Shounen ai called 19 Days, which is also a hilarious slice of life that somehow involves gangsters?! (sometimes I read them in the original Chinese to keep in practice with the language, in case you're wondering)
Haha, well, some of the parts of the characters came to me in the first month or so, and were just fleshed out from there. The entire thing about Lord Yang, Allen and her contract were well established. I also knew really early on that she fell in love with the daughter of someone important (Sapphire) and that it did make it a little harder for her to do her job. It was a trippy dream. Initially, Allen was missing and eye, but it didn't make much since as the story developed. The secondary characters were also pretty easy to incorporate. Part of my goal is to have both Allen and Sapphire have lives separate of each other. They get on pretty well, but hanging around anyone for to long can get annoying. Also, Allen has altogether way to much energy for Sapphire; and Sapphire has locked Allen out of their room on more than one occasion XD

Legend of Korra is pretty good (well, I don't know if you have ever watched Avatar the Last Air Bender, but LoK is the sequel to that.) Since the first series were so successful, Nickelodeon gave the writers free rain, and it's jammed packed with action, adventure, social commentary, addresses ptsd and trauma, and yeah, the two female mains end up hooking up. I only mention this because the first season is a little...cringy. The bad part of it is that they put a little to much in each season and didn't have enough episodes to build it. But Korra is a bleeding beast! Like damn, really enjoy that character, and Asami, she's epic! All the way through! There is not a thing that I don't like about her.

I kind of have a thing about drawing blood, injuries and sickness~ don't know why, just kind of liked it...
I can read a little Chinese (took 6 years of it, it's a beautiful language~). Naw, I'm just your run of the mill white kid. When I was little, I was fascinated by the Great Wall of China, the landscape, mountains- I kind of sucked at French, so I decided (against my teacher's recommendation) to take Chinese~ In many ways it's easier because it's so different from English, also, the characters make sense to me. But I'm not very good at speaking it or listening (little better with Japanese, but I need some actual lessons XD). I try to keep in practice by reading at the very least. Have a semi insane dream of biking along the Great Wall someday.

Yeah, I've always liked relationships where each person is still a person in their own right (enmeshed relationships can give me the creeps). Also, kind of hard for Allen to steel stuff if Sapphire is breathing down her neck.
Haha, Sapphire gets cranky when you interrupt her reading time or schoolwork. (Or when you steal her textbooks, read them all because 'your board' and start to annoy her with all the things she still has to study)
I don't know if you're into personality typing or Myers Briggs Typology, but Allen is an ENTP (a dysfunctional one btw) and Sapphire is an INTJ, and that's a recipe for interesting moments.

It can work out pretty well, But Alexande can be pretty harsh. It's an old pic, but it's her: Training with Alexande (Inktober day 15) She's a bit harsh, but she's also the most organized of my oc's (the others are INTP's like me and then there's Allen the dysfunctional ENTP.... and if I want to get a project complete, I don't listen to her xD). Sometimes I have them do a running commentary on classes that get a bit slow... the results are hilarious, because they're all very opinionated.
Ohh, yeah, Allen scares me. I've got a code that I live by, and Allen, kind of breaks my code, and it freaks me out XD She's got a layer of unpredictability that doesn't sit well with me, but makes her fun to write. Gyra and Razen have their breaking points, but I understand them, so they don't unnerve me in the same way.
Yes LOK is a real spin off of Avatar! It's a little light on character development, but real deep in social issues; makes for a pretty interesting show to be honest. And you get the return of some old tropes, like cabbage man became Cabbage Co. and still has a bad relationship with the Avatar XD some things never change. There just needed to be more episodes in a season. But it's all about the balance, and there's something so beautiful about that.
I was spared from watching the live action shame by a friend. They say never judge a book by it's cover, but damn man, those trailers made me suspicious as hell. I didn't want to sit through another Eragon. Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings (not the hobbit) hopefully will go a long way to improving future development of fantasy films... it's just gonna be a little painful till then T.T

I find the characters a little easier (I mean, there are still thousands of them, plus old and simplified versions). But knowing the radicals is very helpful. It's just hard for me to speak and do listening comprehension. Of course, it doesn't help to speak to people with heavy American accents either XD And there are so many dialects and other languages, it's truly amazing! I just need to bleeding go to China.

My best friend's mother is from Japan, but she had to re-learn Japanese in college. We joke that with her knowledge of Hiragana and Katakana, and my knowledge of Chinese characters, we can probably decipher some Kanji (I know they Chinese and Japanese character systems are different, but there are still areas where there is overlap. Having a vague idea as to what characters say is better than nothing XD) But she also has a real apatite for languages, all the languages. It's fun!

Hmm, well, it can be anywhere from a day to years. Gyra Blackwell (my first oc) took me years to nail down, probably 5-6, and she went through a hell of a lot of re-inventions. From an innocent doe-eyes child, to an emo "leave me the hell alone" type to where she is now. Ally Bates, on the other hand, took a few hours.
Once I have them in my head, I give them the 16 personalities test, read through the type, see if it matches the picture in my head or not. It's not a perfect match, because, the test isn't meant to capture 100% of a person's personality, (it's just a tool that looks at what personality you fit best with. Like Robins egg blue and indigo blue are both very different colors, yet, they're still blue.) It gives me a nice base line and characteristics to consider. Gyra and Razen are both INTP's but they're vastly different (I just have a thing for torturing INTP's, they're kind of funny to play with)
Alistar came out as an ESTP, and it was bleeding creepy reading through the results, captured him beautifully and gave me a lot of ideas. Is he a perfect ESTP? Hell no, but he's definitely and ESTP Though, Allen's story and The Mists had some of the quickest character development from me. The Mists is kind of a beast, it needs a lot of characters, even more than Allen's story and that's something.... Gyra's story also needs more characters, but she's content to take it easy and get to know the people at a slow, deliberate rate, allows me to focus on other characters.

That is very impressive that you can speak Chinese.
It is a very beautiful language. Its just hard as hell
to learn. Plus there is two different types of Chinese
language. There is Cantonese and Mandarin.

(Mage-in-Tan-Knee-An) They're native language
is Greek. But in the story it is known as Magentanian
Language. Not Greek.

for you to develop one character? That includes his or
her's personality and everything about them.

I've been studying up on how to do goar, it's a little harder to find tutorials than I thought it would be xD So I've been using medical books. Kind of an interesting read really.
Yeah, my characters are generally played by bad luck, it's kind of fun. Fun fact, Razen tends to get sick if he doesn't use his magic, it tends to bottle up quite unpleasant; the danger is that it can be quite explosive. Demon magic can be hard to control.
Pfft, if you heard me speak it you wouldn't think that it's impressive xD Though I do know enough to confuse the hell out of telemarketers. Yeah, two main languages, then there are the dialects and regional accents. I finally got my dad to watch a sub movie with me (Ip man) and it was in Cantonese! XD Then there are old and new character systems. It's pretty cool! 
Aie, it's a bit crazy honestly. It's difficult terrain, I don't believe that there is a continuous road system along it either. Also, there are a number of sections to the great wall, not all connected, and they're still finding more of the wall. Regardless, the plan is to start at the north end in the summer and work my way south. When my dad finished grad school, he took off on his bike, broke a part on his rat trap the first day and ended up traveling 100 miles trying to get the damn thing fixed. He'd never gone more than 30 miles before that. He kept doing 100 miles every day, biking around the US and then traveling down around South America. All alone, unsupported, without being able to speak more than a handful of words in spanish. He's got a lot of stories.
I did pick up a little Japanese from shows I've watched, and some things my best friend taught me back in grade school.
Damn, that's cool! That takes some dedication with language translations too. I like the idea of using Greek as a base language for Magentanian; that to is a beautiful language (my friend is fluent). I've got something similar with the Elven language in Scarlet Shadows. It's based off of the Chinese Language (in that it is a more straight forward sort of language, no congregating verbs, no tenses) but they do have an alphabet, so in that way it's like Japanese.
Yeah, they can be a problem and they're annoying! You don't need to be one person to act as one! or even to be a couple. That can lead to problems... Especially if you're interested in Allen... but I digress... Oh yeah, she's a handful alright

I mean, I guess so...but it doesn't feel like work when you're enjoying what you're doing? I take a passive and active way of developing my characters. I will put them through the Myers Briggs when I feel like they have enough substance to back them up, but before that, I just kind of play with them, see what happens. Development can take anywhere from a day to years.
I know that Sapphire seems pretty bland in comparison to Allen, but, she's got a major role to play in the story. More than just being a damsel in distress too.
