My current desktop. As you can see, there's nothing extraordinary. Just the setup for everyday use.But, in any case, here's the list of used stuff:
Theme - Atolm by ~SkiesOfAzel .
Icons - Faenza-Darkest by ~tiheum .
Wallpaper – Wood 2 by ~GuillenDesign .
Docky - default “Classic” theme.
X11 Mouse Theme (*not visible on screenshot) - OpenZone (black version) by ducakar .
Font - Droid Sans.
Running applications: Nautilus Elementary with Clutterflow, DeadBeef, Docky.

I find that a desktop is so important to your workflow; it needs to be there, but not too distracting. I change my desktop very rarely I have used the same desktop I placed on the machine when I had it 18 months ago. The design was created by a really cool designer who knows his onions. The desktop is 'Ultra' (ring any bells)

Yes, desktop is what you see the most part of the day (if you are such maniac as me, he-he), so, it should be comfortable to use.
