The only one who was named in the movie was Bucky. In fact, the name Howling commandos was never used. They were quite disapointing in the movie...

its pretty clear who Dum Dum Dugan is i'd say he doesn't need to be named, also cap really couldn't have done half what he did without them

It isn't clear to those who only watch the movies.

I should also add that the comics have had since the 50s to establish continuity and Captain America has one film, at the end of the day captain america is what its all about and the howling commandos are just very good soldiers

Yeah I know all this. I'm a Marvel fan too. How does this fit in with the fact that they were not named? Don't confuse the issue.

it doesn't matter to anyone who is not a huge fan, they are included pretty much just for us

Yeah no shit. But the people who watch the movie wonder why these guys were included. Wich makes them like the movie even less. Because they are like "They put a bunch of random characters in there for no reason."

yeah they put in soldiers in a war setting for no reason......
I love cap but he isn't superman, he can't do everything on his own

Dude, is there something you're not getting? They had extra screen time and they all had lines, but they were not named.

The point is that they had alot of screen time, yet they didn't take the time to identify these people who we are supposed to enjoy watching.

it would have made no difference if they said the names, they would have exactly the same roles and I would still have enjoyed the film just as much

Yes I understand that you liked them the way they are. As I recall, you said that in each of your replies.
The point remains that alot of people didn't like the movie that much because there wasn't enough focus on Cap's story and they focused on these other guys who are "unimportant" (By a movie-watcher and not a fan).

but they got zero focus, my point was that to most people they are just cap america's team all they did was help him in combat situations the story was all Cap and Red Skull

Anyway, my family were like "Why were those guys there? They were useless!" So I think that they should have made them a little more important in the movie.
