Nice! At first glance, I honestly thought you did this in charcoal; I love the texture and the business, myself. o__O; For some reason, I adore the fetlocks on the raised foreleg...not sure why. I'm a strange one. Very convincing details in the facial and neck region, considering you didn't use a reference. =3

thankyouz!! he should look scared...... er not like that i mean... my original idea for this was for him to have a bridle on and be drooling and sweating and stuff and generally look like the rider isnt being very nice (although i wouldnt have put the rider in) but i dropped the idea 'cause the bridle i did was rubbish

Bridles are friggen hard to draw!! X_x I haven't drawn a horse in a while [although looking at your stuff inspires me to!] but when I drew them left and right, I never drew bridles or any other type of equipment on them because its all so friggen hard to do!!
Welcies ^.^

This would have been much lovelier and much more intense if done in a traditional medium.

If you look at the head, it almost looks like a cat's (as in a panther). But it is pretty accurate considering you didn't have a ref.
(should be slightly thiner at the necky area)

a cats head? *tilts head* er.....I dont see it.......yar..the neck is a bit chunky....you'll have to imagine its a spanish horse like a lippanzer (yes..a black lipanzer ..i cant spell that...) they have REALLY thick necks.... but i did notice that...i had just already uploaded it when i did...
