Description
Here's a piece that I created for a Latin assignment at the end of last year. The instructions were to create a piece depicting a Greek or Roman hero. I chose to draw Hercules facing off against the mighty Hydra! (Haven't gotten a grade back yet… I'm giddy to find out what I got!)

This was created with Prismacolor watercolor pencils, Pitt artist pens, and good old H20. That is construction paper in the background.

I used Jessica Peffer's books for anatomy help on that one leg of the Hydra. I also used a concept reference form Anna Rettberg depicting Volvagia for ideas on how to use perspective. Otherwise, it's all me! Hope you like it!
