Your artwork is a stunning expression of the meaning of these two words in the title, "after death".  I'm thinking about the novel "Ubik," where there exists a state of "half-life" of (gradually fading) conscious existence in cryogenic suspension.  It's not life, but it's not non-existence, and there's still love, hope and suffering over there.  You let me recall the imagery of Ella in that novel.
