dang this is terrifying O.o and i read the info about them I love it but its also sad. I like how they didnt just lay down and take it. Instead they picked themselves up and started industriously working, making themselves successful. Maybe the motives arent so pure but STILL lol

Thanks . You're so awesome for reading their lore and all, thanks ^^.
The adjeer for me are a great inspiration for stories of love, and then despair, loss, depression, followed by determination, strength, power. They're so fascinating. But not all pick themselves up. Those who don't become priests of Rar - priests of Death. Some are there to teach about loss and coping with it. Some are there for funerals, advice, handling of inheritance (which in most cases goes straight to the government - that's how their businesses don't stagnate in family lines). But most of them grieve. Underneath the Shi'Rar temple is a great maze where the ones who can't be a part of the normal society reside. They constantly expand. Being there is like stepping into a dark insane asylum. There is beauty down there, created in the great workshops. But there is so much pain and despair. Those are the priests of Rar that have lost and never managed to recover. That's why the adjeer society is against attachment to each other. Because loss can cost everything. They can be insanely cruel, but they have a huge capacity for love. They mostly pour it into their creativity, businesses. Those who pour it into friends, relations, well... they end up down in the tunnels. Loss is just... too much for most of them.

Haha, thanks. Well, I've been working on this for... *counts* three years about . A lot of help from my fiance and a friend as well, fleshing out their culture and finding inspiration. There's a story with them I really want to turn into a book or a comic, but I feel like I need to flesh things out just a 'little' bit more .
