Butterfly

It was the name that she gave to me, special, prized, loved, carefully tendered, and tender itself. I felt graced by it, as though she had curved her long, strong fingers and cupped my face, and kissed me softly upon my lips. She used it openly, and with time, I saw a sadness take its edge, leaving me once, longing for my own name to pass her lips.

Now, as time passes, and held in someone’s arms, kept warm, rocked when I wake in the early hours, a custom that came, with loving someone in another place, I yearn to recover that moment or two, when the name’s beauty overwhelmed, and cupped my loved face. My lover knows, I’ve told her so, that a flight of these creatures, stretching from hip, to shoulder, to the ear in which the name was whispered, while painful to endure, and painful to absorb, and painful to gaze at, as hands touch and trace, would fill my days and nights with joy.

просто потрясающе, и цвет, и атмосфера, болезненно, и при этом очень нежно..действительно похоже летаргический сон в формалине. а бабочки были настоящие?
