just something from my flickr account.i recently read Red Hood & The Outlaws and I think its great. i really wanted to do a Jason Todd piece for awhile now.
i really like how well the batman and robin symbols go with the fact that since the Red Hood has no mouth, he canβt use words.

The outfit was given to him by Starfire. She told him cloths and symbols font define her, so why should he let them to do the same to him. Ultimately, regardless of his past Jason was a member of the bat family. He wears not as a symbol of alliance but to say, "the past is the past, and regardless of how anyone feels I am a robin and a member of the family."

as hipster as it is to say, i'm thinking he wears it ironically, like he's batmans forgotten son and he shoving the logo in their face.
thats why i made it look hand painted, like he was crazy mad one night and in a fit of rage, painted it.
