Ah yes they were some pretty fierce warriors. I'm also going to be going to great depth regarding the mythology of the world. I'm thinking about also doing some sort comics telling some of the myths are good old friend knuckles grew up with.

That's nice Echidnas are one of my biggest focus in my stories too. I love creating their culture and such. I didn't read Archie but what I saw from few pages I didn't like how they are written to be interested in machinery and technology. In my stories echidnas are more attached to nature otherwise hedgehogs are those who wants to get further with technology and machinery knowledge and creates modern world.

So good luck with your stories I am sure it's going to be epic.

In my universe Echidna's were the first tribe. All other races decent from them in some way. The people of angle island are also a heavily spiritual people as they are the servants of the gods. They were tasked by the gods themselves to guard the master emerald which according to the lore is the heart of Gleckmar ripped right out of his chest so that his Orin light can't spread across the world and cause madness. They lived closest to the gods and for thousands of years their culture never changed, they told the same stories and practiced all the same rituals, while they didn't develop much in the way of advanced tech they did study chaos extensively and many of their scholars were dedicated to the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment. Knuckles as a result is a heavily spiritual character in this interpretation, he's also the most knowledgeable when it comes to chaos and he's the only one who can read the ancient language on the walls of the 7 great temples they visit in the story.

Yeah I actually formulated a theory for how mobian genetics works and did some research on the genetics of cats and other animals. I've been wanting to make a video about it but the recordings pretty long so I haven't yet. But I even took uncle chuck in as a factor (though in this comic he's just called Charles)

Yeah, in my drawings I focus on genetics too, I like when everything has some logic. I am detailists so I appreciate when someone think of logic for details too. Which I saw here in this image.
