How interesting! I've always wanted to see the tribunal before their apotheosis, even if it is just a shadowed silhouette in the background. To see Vivec as just a man (or mer, rather) instead of a god that was impossible for me to kill... (You know I had to try it!

I think you misunderstand me: I said it was impossible for *me* to kill him. I didn't have the magicka to keep fighting him and healing myself (I was playing a mage), or the money to buy or make the potions needed to heal me either. Without cheats, at least at the level I tried to do this at, it simply wasn't possible for *me* to kill him. I know he isn't literally immortal per game mechanics.
