The scene carries with it the aesthetics and sense of the art found on Greek stelae and pottery-- the colours, the sense of a frozen moment in time before great events, usually tragic swept down and overturned all that came before. The ominousness of the shadows surrounding Nerevar is palpable. Beautiful work!
